Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Final-year students who have not received their final result may not be eligible.

Highlights of SBI Apprentice Exam Pattern 2026
- The online examination consists of 100 objective-type questions.
- Each question carries 1 mark, making the total score 100 marks.
- The total duration of the examination is 60 minutes.
- Each section is allotted 15 minutes separately.
- The General English section will be available only in English language.
- Other sections will be available in Hindi and English.
- Candidates must qualify each stage as per the cutoff decided by the State Bank of India (SBI).
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the Bank. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subject. Merit list will be drawn State wise and category wise.
Test of local language
The candidates applying for training seats of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the language of that particular state. The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprentice. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
Medical Examination
Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
