Common Recruitment Process (CRP) is conducted every year by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for 11 participating banks of public sector. List of banks is given below:

To be eligible for IBPS PO 2026 candidate should fulfill both educational qualification and age limit criteria

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Minimum age for IBPS PO is 20 years and maximum age is 30 years. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1996 and not later than 01.07.2006 (both dates inclusive)

Application Fees/ Intimation Charges will be paid in online mode only. Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate. Category wise application fees is given below:

  • Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Rs. 850 /- (inclusive of GST) for all others.

Selection process for IBPS PO is completed in four phases phase-I is preliminary examination (Objective Test), Phase-II is main examination (Objective and Descriptive), Phase-III is personality test and Phase-IV is Interview.

This is a objective test of 100 marks, it has three sections English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Total time of exam is 60 Minutes which is equally divided in three parts, detailed structure is shown below:

This test is divided in two parts an objective test of 17questions having 200 marks and time duration is 160 Minutes. Second test is Descriptive Test (Essay and Comprehension) of 25 marks having 02 questions and time duration is 30 minutes.

Penalty for wrong answer in Objective Test

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

Candidates who qualify in the Main examination will be called for a Personality Test (self-report). Personality Profile of the candidates will be placed before the Interview panel. The Personality Test will be non-qualifying in nature. However, appearing in the Personality Test will be mandatory for being eligible for appearing for the Interview process. Personality test may be conducted through proctored mode or at identified examination centres, as decided by IBPS.

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main examination and appear for Personality Test for CRP- PO/MT will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT/ Region with the help of IBPS

  • Candidates are first required to go to the official IBPS website www.ibps.in and click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP PO/MT” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP- PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/ MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (CRP-PO/MT-XVI)” to open the Online Application Form.
  • Candidates will have to click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form.
  • After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
  • Candidates must upload their photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, SSC/SSLC/10th Standard (or equivalent) certificate, and also capture and upload a live photograph using a webcam or mobile phone during the online registration process.
  • Fill all details in application form carefully and pay application fees using any online mode.
  • Take printout of application for future reference.
